This sweet guy is MONET, a 1-2 year old male cat that was brought in as a stray with 6 others and never claimed. MONET is the shyest out of all of them but even though he’s a little more timid, he’s still a sweetheart and allows us to pick him up and handle him. He’s a very gentle cat with a nice, calm demeanor but as time goes on, he could come out of his shell and show us his wild side (if he has one)! He seems unbothered by the other cats here so would probably do okay in a home with kitty friends. As of now, we feel a home with older children might be better for him, just because he is still a little unsure of everything but again, as time goes on, that may change! Dogs are unknown but since he is still young and with proper introductions, a home with calmer dogs may be okay as well.

This beautiful feline is SAPPHIRE, a 10 year old female cat that was surrendered to HOPE when her owner had to move into a nursing home. SAPPHIRE was with her owner her whole life so she is having a little bit of a hard time adjusting to the shelter life. She is VERY sweet and affectionate but still prefers to hide under her bed most of the day. We’re confident she will start coming out more as time goes on but we would also love to just find her a forever home as soon as possible! She would do best in a quiet home with a single person or couple that have no other animals and no young children.

UPDATE 4-7-26*** EVEE has become the new office cat and since being moved from the cat room she is doing absolutely AMAZING! To our surprise, she is very, very affectionate and wants all of the attention from her human caretakers! She wants all of the pets now, loves to “help” with computer work aka, get in the way of the screen while we’re trying to work and jump on our laps. We are thrilled to know that she truly just had a hard time being around the other cats and is now a total lover! She will make someone a wonderful companion cat as long as she’s the only one!
This pretty gal is EVEE, a 7 year old female cat that was surrendered to H.O.P.E. because she was not getting along with the other resident cats. EVEE is a sweet cat but she does take a little bit to warm up to new people and seems to prefer pets and affection at her choosing. Since she was surrendered for not getting along with other cats, it would be best that EVEE be the only cat in the home. If you’re looking for a companion that doesn’t necessarily want to be squeezed and picked up all of the time, but will still come to you for pets, EVEE is your girl!
