OLIVE
Beautiful Olive was found as a stray and brought to HOPE so she could hopefully be reunited with her family. Once Olive arrived, it was apparent she was not making this journey on her own. A few days after arrival, sweet Olive delivered 3 tabby striped kittens. Mama and her little crew are doing well and if all goes well, they will be available for adoption in a couple of months. Olive is a good mama and right now she is focused on giving her little family all the love and attention they need. We will keep you updated on Olive and her kittens as they continue their journey for forever homes.
LINT
LINT is a very handsome male 3 year old cat that was found as a stray and is now looking for a forever home. Mr. Lint was in rough shape when he made his way to us here at HOPE. His beautiful long gray coat was terribly matted and Mr. Lint needed to be shaved in order to remove his matts and get his coat into tip top shape. it will take a few months for his gorgeous coat to grow out, so right now he is looking a bit unkept. Lint is friendly with humans and seems okay with other cats. He was a bit concerned about canine visitors who were in his area for a short time, so he probably would like a home without a canine companion. Who is ready to give this sweet guy a new home and watch his beautiful coat grow??
ASHLEE – ADOPTION PENDING
Ashlee is a very sweet young female cat that was found as a stray and is now looking for a new home. She is a beautiful grey and white short haired girl who loves attention and seems to be okay with other cats. She didn’t seem bothered by the shelter dogs that we’ve cat tested in her area, so with proper introductions, she can probably live with a canine companion. Ashlee is a playful cat who likes human attention. Who wants to bring this sweetheart home?
KRASH
Krash is a male 5 year old shorthair that was found stray. Krash is a quirky cat, who has quite the appetite and especially loves his canned food. He is very friendly, and can’t get enough attention. He can be a little timid in new situations, but as long as treats are on stand-by, he warms up quickly. Krash would love a home where he can look out the windows to watch the birds, but also spend his days napping on the couch. Krash needs to be the ONLY cat and cannot go outside as he is positive for Feline Leukemia. He is due to be re-tested in 6 months to see if he has cleared it. For any other questions about Feline Leukemia and Krash you can always give the shelter a call.
SAL
SAL is an approximately 1 year old male shorthair that was found as a stray recently. He can be very timid, but does enjoy being petted. Sal would benefit from a quieter home, as he is a very shy fella. He does enjoy receiving attention from people, but it does take him a bit of time to warm up to new people. Once Sal gains more confidence, his true personality will blossom and he will no doubt become a wonderful companion for a lucky family.
HERCULES
Handsome HERCULES is a 4 year old male shorthair that was found as a stray on Gogebic street in Ironwood. He is a big fella. Hercules is a little unsure of people at first, as he probably hasn’t had many positive interactions with humans before. Once he feels comfortable, he is a real sweetie. We aren’t sure how Hercules would do with other cats, as he seems to be a pretty mature and “street wise” cat. One thing is for sure though, he LOVES attention from the humans. Who wants to give this handsome hunk a new home?
COFFEE – ADOPTION PENDING
COFFEE is a 2 year old longhair that was found stray on Lake Rd recently. At first she was a little unsure of the staff, but it didn’t take her long to warm up and show us her true personality. Coffee is still a little timid, but she enjoys attention from people. She would love a quiet home, where she can relax.
THURSDAY
This beauty is THURSDAY, a 3-4 year old female domestic shorthair that was live trapped and brought to the shelter a few months ago with two of her kittens. Thursday is a timid cat, and it does take her awhile to warm up to new people. She would enjoy a quiet home, maybe even just one person who would dedicate their time and energy to help her adjust and gain confidence and where she could soak up of all the love and attention. Who has room in their home and heart for this sweet, shy, little girl?
TOFFEE – ADOPTION PENDING
TOFFEE is a domestic longhair that was found stray on Lake Rd in Ironwood recently with COFFEE. At first she was very scared, and even let out a few hisses at the staff. But after our great volunteers put in the work, she is starting to trust humans again. Toffee is still a little shy, and doesn’t like loud noises so a quiet home would be best. With lots of love and patience she will make a great companion.
